St. George

Last week my buddy Taylar and I went down to his Grandma's house in Hurricane. We went down on Thursday and stayed through the weekend and got back on Monday. The goal was to just go have a fun trip and chill all weekend. The drive from Spanish Fork to St. George is about 3 and 1/2 hours and usually not that bad. But when there is only two of you there isn't a whole lot of stuff going on to keep you occupied. We were about to Beaver (A little over half way) and it hit us. THIS IS THE WORST DRIVE EVER! But we stayed strong and kept on truckin along! To our amazement we made it there with out dying of bordem!

Thursday:

- Left about 11 and got there around 2:15

- Unpacked and talked with Grandma and Danny (Step-Grandpa, I didn't know what to refer him as, so he is just Danny)

- Went to Sky Mountain Golf Course and played a round (Very scenic and not too pricy)

- Danny made Pork chops for dinner and they were delicious!

- Just relaxed around for the night, watched some baseball and played some Xbox (Tired from the drive)

Friday:

- Just a relaxing day. Got lunch, toured the town, relaxed, went to the mall, got dinner. Thats about it!

- My grandma was driving to our house from California and she was staying in St. George for the night so we went and visited her.

- Went to Yogurtland (Never disappoints)

Saturday:

- Went to Fiesta Fun - I have heard a lot of good things about it so i was pretty excited to go

       -The mini golf was alright but most of the holes were similar.

       - The go-carts were slow but it was a nice track

- We made ribs for dinner and they were fall off the bone delicious

Sunday:

- Went to Zions National Park

- Hiked Angles Landing! (Me, Taylar, & Danny) That was super fun and an experience that I will never forget. I recommend that everybody does it at least once in their life. Its a fun and pretty hard hike with a great view of Zions.  At the end of the hike it's so high up and steep that you have to hold on to chains so you don't fall off of the mountain.

- Got home and his Grandma had steak and potatoes ready (Thankfully because we were starving)

- Went to Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. BEST. MOVIE. OF. THE. SUMMER/YEAR/DECADE?

Monday:

-Packed up said our goodbyes and drove home. The drive home was a lot better. not sure why

It was a fun weekend and his Grandparents were great. They were nice, fed us good, and offered great hospitality. 

One thing I learned about this trip is that I don't like St. George as much as I thought i did.. TOO HOT!
